A play on the phonetic Chinese words, CHĀ HUĀ translates to “arrange flowers” and HUĀ CHÁ to “flower tea.” In this two-part workshop, we will engage with the mediums of clay and flowers in a variety of ways, for a delectable tactile experience that inspires all of the senses.
In the first session, we will create two small ceramic vessels, one for tea and one for flowers.
In the second session, using the vessels we created, now glazed and fired, we will arrange Ikebana-inspired flowers and drink tea together. Experiment with your own flower tea blend!
